Lexi and Callum met within a month of them both moving to Sydney, Australia in 2015. Even though Callum had lived in the country before he had never lived in Sydney. They spent the first year exploring all that Sydney had to offer; beaches, parks, and mountains – also quite a few bars and music festivals. They took their first international trip together to Bali in 2016 and that sparked what will be a life-long love of international travel together. Their biggest trip was in 2019/2020 where they travelled to 21 countries in 3 continents across 9 months – coming back from this travel in one piece and still in love made them know that they would be together for a long time. Callum proposed to Lexi in Kosciusko National Park, during a camping trip over the Easter Holidays in 2022. This remains the one and only surprise that Callum has successfully pulled on Lexi, and he remains inordinately proud of it. After pretending to have left the engagement ring back in Sydney, Callum managed to get Lexi to describe her perfect proposal, and then asked her if she would like a lifetime of “Lexi and Callum adventures” by the river. After a resounding ”YES”, and a ”congratulations” from the bloke fishing in the river - they are happily engaged and looking forward to this next step in their lives. Given that they both have friends and family all over the world, it was a difficult choice to decide where to get married. Luckily, they have found the perfect place in Turin Castle, Scotland – the country that Callum was born, and castle that Lexi fell in love with during her travels. They both hope that their loved ones can come and witness them tie the knot on June 1, 2024 in Scotland – for what is sure to be a fun and laugh filled night.
