The proposal- After 7 years of us being together we finally decided to go on a vacation together. A real vacation. This was not something 2 hours away or somewhere that we could come home the same day, like most of our previous getaways. We decided to go to Colorado, it was so beautiful there. On our trip we did so many things like visiting the Stanley hotel, going to Meowwolf, checking out some malls, and eating everywhere. We really wanted to go hiking through the mountains (how could you not it’s so beautiful there). We were at this shop that had a list of the best places to hike to in the mountains with the best views, so we looked some up, and decided to hike to a place called Alberta falls, I highly recommend looking up some pictures through google, the pictures we saw were so beautiful we knew we had to go there. As we’re hiking up this mountain, finally reaching our destination, we both realized the waterfall we had hiked too was froze over, snow covering it, it just looked like a huge hill, we would have never known that was supposed to be the waterfall, thankfully there was a sign stating “Alberta Falls” Christian told me that was originally where he had planned to propose, at the waterfall (he had the ring the whole trip, I had absolutely no idea). But once we both were so bummed by the waterfall we hiked a little bit more before we turned around and headed back to the car. We had a booked something else to do so we had to leave to make sure we got there in time. As we were driving to our next destination Christian wanted to pull over and look at the view of the mountains, if you have never been to Colorado, when you are driving through the mountains, there are tons of pull off side spots in the mountains where you can stop, park, and enjoy the view. So this was nothing new to me. Us stopping and enjoying the view before our next adventure. There was another couple at the spot we stopped at, I told Christian to go ask them to take a photo of us, but we he did was ask them to record and he that he was going to propose. I still had no idea. Christian was moving me in a bunch of different ways for our “pictures” different poses, you name it. Then I finally turned around to look at him, as he was on his knee proposing.
