Little do people know, and many people may be finding this out for the first time reading this, we met on a dating site! (Sorry we lied to some for so long, we hope the open bar will help you forgive us) Mike made a comment of a photo of Lex's dog, and of course she had to respond. Our first date got delayed a little bit at first as Lex had sprained her ankle playing soccer very shortly into talking. Mike thought it was some tactic to avoid ever getting to meet, but as she sent a photo in a wheelchair at Urgent Care, he decided to believe her. Not soon after, we went on our first date. All 8 1/2 hours of it. After dinner, we had decided we did not want the night to end, went to a bar, still didn't want the night to end, then sat in the car for hours listening to our favorite songs and musicians until about 2AM. Mike then met Lex's mom 2 days later, said he loved her about 2 1/2 weeks into seeing each other and then we made it official after 3 weeks. Hey, when ya know, ya know! The Proposal: Lex sort of predicted the way it would happen right before it actually happened over our anniversary dinner. She thought all signs led to him doing it a few months prior, she even listed out details mentioning candles, rose pedals, etc. Mike, internally freaking out at this point, brought her home to the perfect proposal, and for her to only exclaim (while sobbing) "Are you serious? You're a liar! I just predicted this!" Now: 4 beautiful years together filled with so many memories, and it is only the beginning. We now have been living together for quite some time with our dog, Kota (which we can thank for bringing us together). We spend a whole lot of time drinking coffee together, watching trashy TV, playing board games, cuddling with our pup, and finding out new ways to annoy each other. We are so honored to have you all join us to thank you for shaping us into who we are today and to celebrate our love♡
