Two hearts, one love, one unforgettable day

Our love story began in the Fall of 2017, when Alexa was a recruiter for Crowe and Joey was in Law School at Villanova. We first exchanged glances at the Villanova career fair, where Alexa’s unmatched charm recruited Joey to Crowe (successfully, might we add). One year later, a years-long friendship began at Crowe – we were both a part of the same friend group, attending many happy hours and holiday parties together. Although playful banter and wits were exchanged between us, we remained just friends. Then, the pandemic hit and we did not see each other for over two years, until fate brought us back together at a work-sponsored Yankee game in August 2022. When Joey saw Alexa again, there was something different this time – it was not just the cute girl who recruited him and was his friend, but he saw something more. Alexa, on the other hand, to this day, claims nothing changed on her end, and we were still just friends. After months filled with ramped up flirting over Microsoft Teams, Joey offered to walk Alexa back to her car after a happy hour, where he finally got her number and the courtship officially began. The infamous Crowe 2022 holiday party is where we both knew our relationship had changed. Our first date on December 9, 2022, at Ocean’s in New York City (followed by drinks with co-best man Greg Gorea) sealed the deal that this was real. We began officially dating in March 2023, when Joey took a major leap asking Alexa to come to his sister Nikki’s wedding and to travel to Utica to meet his family (though Alexa would argue it was official much earlier than that)! Over the next 2.5 years, our love only continued to grow, mature, and evolve as we navigated our “long distance” relationship from NYC to Long Island. We made countless memories with our family and friends, including having too much fun at weddings and parties celebrating with the people we love the most in this world. More importantly, however, we shared cherished moments together, from trying new restaurants, talking endlessly about everything under the sun, watching our favorite shows and movies, attending church, and spending quality time with Alexa’s pride and joy puppy, Tucker. Along the way, her friends became his, and his became hers, and our families blended seamlessly into one another. On August 30, 2025, in Babylon, NY, Joey finally popped the question and asked for Alexa’s hand in marriage and we have been enjoying engaged life together ever since. We cannot wait to share our love story with those who have played such a vital part in it on Saturday, November 7, 2026!
