The couple met at Van Horn, where they both worked at the time. Lex came to work there as her first part-time job and Drew was already a service writer there. Lex's Mom Nikki, worked there at the time as well, and she introduced Lex to everyone there, including Drew. Sometime had gone by, and the two eventually started flirting back and forth and everyone at work started making the joke that they were "married". Drew even proposed to Lex with a ring-pop one day, when she came into work. For quite sometime they both knew they liked each other, but just never got the courage to do anything other than talk at work. Then there was one evening, Lex was getting ready to leave work, and Drew had just left for the day. Lex was pretty bummed, because she was going back to college for her spring semester, so that was going to be the last time she saw Drew for awhile. However, Lex knew a bar right in downtown Oconomowoc that Drew frequented, and after work she had plans to go out to dinner with one of her close friends Nicole and her family. So, Lex decided to drive out of her way, past this bar, and she told herself that if she saw his blue truck sitting outside that bar, that was gonna be her sign to text him. Sure enough, she drove by and there it was, and after that their story started.
