Taylor and Josh met in October of 2019, just before the world changed. They began dating as everything slowed down, and found themselves navigating an unfamiliar season side by side. That first spring and summer were spent cooking meals, playing crosswords, going on long walks, and falling in love during a time when everything else felt uncertain. Their relationship was tested early when Taylor moved to Napa to pursue a harvest internship at a winery. The timing, however, had other plans. Before long, she returned to Seattle to be closer to friends, family, and, of course, Josh. In the years that followed, both Taylor and Josh changed careers, moved in together in Lake Forest Park in 2022, and began building a small but meaningful life. They love playing games, appreciating live music and shows, spending time with friends, taking short trips whenever they can, and dreaming about their future dog. Many weekends are spent at Stretch Island with family and friends, a place that is especially meaningful to them. Josh proposed to Taylor in Kelowna during a trip celebrating his parents’ 40th wedding anniversary, to which Taylor replied “Duh.” Seven years after meeting, they are getting married on October 10. The date holds special significance, as it would have been the 40th wedding anniversary of Taylor’s Aunt and Uncle. Her Uncle is no longer with them, and choosing this date is a way to honor the love they shared and the example it set. Along with their shared love of the fall season, it felt like the right moment to begin this next chapter. Taylor and Josh are deeply grateful for the friends and family who have supported and loved them along the way.
