Our story isn't one that goes down in the books, for being romantic or original. However, It's our story and for that we both love it. It all started on a dating app. In late June 2016 I (Annie) was at Hampton Beach (the classiest), and James was home from work. Sitting in traffic, I decided to go on, and he was on it & surprise! We matched. We exchanged messages and played a lot of Trivia Crack for a few weeks before we decided to meet. Even then, we only met because James was traveling through the Berkshires for work. In mid July, we were supposed to go to a restaurant called The Roasted Garlic, but plans changed when a downpour happened, suddenly it was a 2 hour wait. James followed me and my duct taped on mirrors, to the 99. As we were driving, a rainbow was in the distance, and I knew at that moment, something important was about to happen. When we got to dinner, it was like we were old friends, we didn't stop talking, and all of a sudden the doors were closing, and we were being asked to leave. We continued to talk nonstop, and eventually saw each other again a few more times on the weekends. In October, we watched a sunset together on top of Florida Mountain, and in that moment, as cheesy as it sounds, we knew we loved each other. In March, we started talking about our next steps as a couple, and decided I'd move to New Hampshire. In May 2017 I packed my things, and took over his house, and we made a home together, with my dog Parker. In March 2018, we brought home our golden retriever, Sammy--a true relationship tester! As time move forward, we continued support, and encourage each other to be best versions of ourselves. We continued to grow both as a couple, and individually. A few weeks ago (and 4.5 years later) James asked me to marry him, just like the night we fell in love, at sunset, with mountains (and an airport). I might have said shut up before I said yes, I might have laughed, but it was perfect.
