We blocked rooms for the nights of Saturday June 7 and Sunday June 8 (the night of the wedding), at the Brandywine River Hotel, a 40-room independent hotel: • Less than 10 minutes from the wedding venue, • Offering complimentary breakfast, • With a small fitness center (cardio only), • Surrounded by a bakery, coffee shops, and restaurants (with bars), • A short walk to Brandywine Battlefield Historic Park and the Brandywine Conservancy’s trails, historic buildings, and Brandywine Museum of Art featuring extensive Wyeth collections. • 5 miles from Longwood Gardens (the hotel offers discounted tickets), and • 2 miles from a shopping center with more restaurants, retail, and movie theaters. We will provide roundtrip transportation between this hotel and the wedding ceremony / reception.
