While the dress code is FORMAL, we also ask that your attire reflect the dignity of the event and our love for Jehovah & others. Jehovah God has not given us a list of rules of what we should or should not wear. Instead, he has provided us with Bible principles. Modesty, being one of those principles, involves respect for the feelings and opinions of others. A modest person would avoid clothes that are considered indecent, that draw undue attention, or that are likely to offend others. "Likewise, the women [and men] should adorn themselves in appropriate dress, with modesty and soundness of mind...* - 1 Timothy 2:9
If you wish to honor us further, we would gladly accept gifts as a token of your love. Please visit our registry by clicking the "Registry" page on the menu of this site. -Luke 21:2-4
Yes, alcohol will be served. However, we expect that your alcohol consumption reflects the dignity of the event and that you prioritize the safety of all present. We strongly ask that you set definite, risk-free limits that are well within the range of moderation. “... whether you are eating or drinking or doing anything else, do all things for God's glory.” ー1 Corinthians 10:31 "Do not be getting drunk with wine [or alcohol], in which there is debauchery, but keep getting filled with spirit." -Ephesians 5:18
