Ask any teacher about the end of the school year. It is a roller coaster of happiness, excitement, stress, and weekend trips to the shore. Exactly was the case for Zach and Jessie, two teachers, who both headed down to Margate City, New Jersey for some relaxation in the first weekend of June, 2015. Zach headed out with his college friends and Jessie with her camp friends. Later that night, June 5th, 2015, Zach and Jessie would meet. It was an instant connection. The people around them came and went without them noticing. They spent the night talking about teaching, living in Philadelphia, tv shows they both liked, and of course their love for camp that would separate them in a few short weeks. They would see each other once more prior, but shortly after they met they would each head off to overnight camp. Zach to Camp Nock-a-Mixon and Jessie to Camp Green Lane. Eight weeks apart is a long time. Jessie says she was "surprised, excited, but secretly hoping for it to happen" when Zach asked her if they wanted to meet up on one of their off days from camp. The rest is history. Four years later, Zach and Jessie live together in South Philadelphia. They both work at Camp Nock-A-Mixon in the summer. They both clear their calendars for a special weekend together in Margate every year, which always falls on the first weekend in June.
