We first started talking through the Ramapo Class of 2020 group chat. We slowly followed each other on social media. Matt had some bravery to "slide into Nichole's DMs". Both of us got to know one another throughout the next few weeks. We would constantly text about each other's day at school to our favorite meals. After countless hours of phone calls, we finally decided to find a day to spend time with each other. Guess what day that was? May 28th, 2016. We had an instant connection that made Nichole nervous (a lot). We both enjoyed each other's company and laughs. Again, Matt's bravery and chivalry came out when he asked Nichole for a kiss. *romantic music playing* After that day, we officially started dating. Since that moment, we have been best friends and true partners in life.

7 years later; Matt thinks he can 100% surprise Nichole Matt scheduled a sunrise anniversary photoshoot (thank you, Sydney!). Nichole has always wanted a couples' photoshoot (like every romantic woman wants), but the time was never there. Matt being a great boyfriend and listener, finally scheduled one with an amazing photographer and person on our 7 year anniversary. We woke up at 4 in the morning to drive to Vernon and met up with Sydney. She showed us a small field area near the Stairway to Heaven hiking trail. The photoshoot started out very simple and easy going. We laughed as we posed; listening to Sydney throughout the entire time The "Winnie the Pooh" pose was Sydney's way to tell Matt "It's time to get out that ring and ask the burning question!" Of course, Nichole was facing the camera and tears were rolling. By the way, Matt was crying too, but no one saw it except Nichole. Nichole did not hesitate when saying yes to be Matt's future wife. That is all Nichole wanted for years. Thus, it was not the biggest surprise when Matt asked because we've had discussions about our future, Nichole found the ring (curiosity does kill the cat), and a 4 AM photoshoot really screams BIG DAY! Since then, we are still each other's best friends and cannot wait to tackle life together; no matter how difficult it can be.
