In April of 2015, Daniel and Lauren met on a night out with friends, where Lauren approached Daniel and hit on him hard. As they got to know each other, Lauren bragged about her trash can pong abilities, proceeded to not make a shot, then bought him a beer for his troubles. Their first date included throwing the frisbee around and coloring in the park, followed by Lauren teaching Daniel how to drive a stick shift. To this day, Daniel still doesn't know how...

Daniel and Lauren (or as their friends refer to them, "Lauren and Daniel") have done a lot of life together. Naturally, you don't make it to eight years without some common interests. Lauren and Daniel are fiercely competitive on the pickle ball court, the frisbee field, and at game nights. Some would say they harmonize beautifully when singing together... others don't agree. Together, Daniel and Lauren have - crossed 12 National Parks off their list (only 51 left to visit... woof), - reached level 46 on Pokémon Go together, - accumulated over 450 college credits and counting, - attended 33 concerts together, and - watched 960 hours of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Marvel... honestly, probably 965 by now.

For years (literally... years...) Lauren begged Daniel to take her to Switzerland, and in May 2022, they finally made this trip happen. They were getting prepared for a big life transition - with the hopes of medical school acceptance approaching, a career change, and a move - when they planned a trip to the Motherland (Daniel is Swiss, I'm sure he's told you). Daniel planned nearly every detail of the trip - down to the hour, each train stop, even Lauren's outfits - and she was blissfully along for the ride. On May 3rd, Daniel and Lauren took a train from Zurich down to Lugano, Switzerland to visit castles, lakes, and eat great food. On their way to dinner, they stopped at an infamous lakeside park, where Daniel got down on one knee and proposed. In his words, "Lauren accepted his jewelry"; in her words, she "trapped his ass". The transaction was complete. Oh ya, and to top it off, only hours later Daniel got accepted to his top medical school. We have peaked. After eight years, we're finally ready to celebrate with all of our favorite people. Get ready. It's gonna be a blast!
