Things To Do

Please find some of our favorite places and activities nearby to check out across our wedding weekend!
Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden

Old Cutler Road, Coral Gables, FL 33156

Perhaps our favorite place in all of Miami, and the place we got engaged! One of the country's best botanical gardens, with something for everyone!

University of Miami

Coral Gables, FL 33146

Alex's alma mater and a beautiful campus to explore!

Vizcaya Museum & Gardens

Vizcaya Museum & Gardens

3251 South Miami Avenue, Miami, FL 33129

A Deering Family historic estate from the early 20th century, replete with stunning gardens!

Bill Baggs State Park

Bill Baggs State Park

685 Ocean Drive, Key Biscayne, FL 33149

One of our favorite local parks to explore, whether it's just the two of us or with Franklin!

Calle Ocho

455 Southwest 8th Street, Miami, FL 33130

The heart of Cuban culture found in Miami, explore our favorite restaurants like Versailles (the bakery is a must, especially the pastelitos)! For non-Cuban options, we love Mi Rinconcito Mexicano (which also has a fantastic bakery inside), Lung Yai Thai Tapas, and Sanguich, all found on SW 8th Street (Calle Ocho)

Joanna's Marketplace

8247 South Dixie Highway, Miami, FL 33143

With great baked goods, salads, sandwiches, and everything else in-between, make sure to check out one of our favorite local spots for lunch and dinner! Rachel says make sure to try their sesame noodles, and feel free to bring us back some, as well!

Katana Japanese Restaurant

920 71st Street, Miami Beach, FL 33141

Our favorite sushi restaurant in Miami without question. No frills, just delicious food and great people. Be sure to get in line by 5:30pm if you want to get first seating at 6pm, otherwise we recommend grabbing a drink at Bob's Your Uncle next door while you wait!

CVI.CHE 105 - Coral Gables

111 Palermo Avenue, Coral Gables, FL 33134

Our favorite Peruvian cuisine in Miami! We recommend the arroz chaufa, lomo saltado, ceviches, and of course, a pisco sour de maracuja!

The Daily Creative Food Co.

2001 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, FL 33137

Our favorite breakfast and lunch place near our old apartment- you can get anything from eggs, to french toast, to chicken parm sandwiches, and chicken caesar wraps. You can't go wrong!

My Little Greek Deli

195 Westward Drive, Miami Springs, FL 33166

Homestyle Greek food made by the sweetest family - we recommend the MLGD cold sampler (tzatziki and olive hummus, of course!), their ginormous greek salads, and any kind of pita. Their desserts are delicious too!

Etzel Itzik Deli

18757 Dixie Highway, Miami, FL 33180

Delicious israeli food! Their schnitzel pitas are to die for and their limonannas are especially refreshing on a nice warm Miami day!

Lagniappe

3425 Northeast 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33137

Large outdoor patio to hang out and enjoy wine and charcuterie - beware that it does get busy so plan to arrive early to get a table!

For all the days along the way
