Levi and I, surprisingly, were part of the same friend group but at different times. We both attended the same church but at different campuses. As we reminisced about our youth experiences, we discovered that we were present at many of the same events, often on opposite sides of the room. Our first official meeting was shortly after Levi's return to TN from upstate ministry. After a Wednesday night service, our friend group decided to grab some late-night ice cream at Dairy Queen. This meeting, though not love at first sight, marked the beginning of our strong and genuine friendship. A week later, we had plans to celebrate Levi's birthday, but COVID-19 disrupted our plans, and we were separated for a while. After the initial fear subsided, we realized we had plenty of time and nothing to do. Levi spent every moment after work with me, and we fell in love that summer. Levi recalls falling in love at my master's commission graduation, where I was dancing before God in our end-of-the-year showcase. He expressed his desire for our future children to have the same love for God and anointing, the same freedom to express their love for God. This shared aspiration deepened our bond. I noticed how gentle he was with me as I grew closer to Levi. I had never experienced a man who was so sure of who he was and what he wanted. Levi was respectful and Loved me out loud in every situation. It gave me a sense of assurance. Soon after, we became inseparable. Levi sought my dad's permission to date me, and we went on a date that lasted well into the late night hours, talking on a park bench and watching the stars in the lake's reflection. We discussed everything we had been through, how it had shaped us, and what we envisioned for our futures. Levi confessed his feelings, and I reciprocated. On July 11, 2020, we officially started dating, and we've been navigating life's ups and downs together ever since.
