We met through mutual friends at The University of Louisiana during the Fall semester of two thousand and fifteen. We didn't think much of one another at first, but things began to change the more we spent time together. After a few weeks of getting to know each other as friends, we finally went out on a date. We quickly figured out that this could be the start of something great!

Thanksgiving day was certainly one for the books. The day started off as it normally would surrounded by friends and family. After dinner we left the house for a few hours, which gave family time to set up the place the proposal would happen. When we arrived back at the house, we were asked to "check that the camera at the gate was working properly." As we arrived at the camera, the entire area lit up with an array of the most beautiful lights. It was in this moment that I knew what I had been hoping for was happening. He got down on one knee and I excitedly said "YES!" We were finally engaged.
