We met through an online dating site! Turns out that really does work! Maggie had just moved to Oklahoma and Levi was ready to dive back into the dating pool, mostly at the urging of his mom (thanks Marilynn!). We both joined the same site at the same time as it was our New Year's resolutions to meet new people. We began talking just a couple of weeks later and went on our first date on January 28th, 2016. After a few dates we decided that we really liked each other and the rest is history!
On a trip to Whitefish Montana and Glacier National Park Levi decided it was time to pop the question! I have a life long love of horses and he knew it would be extra special if he could include a horse back riding trip as part of the proposal. He booked us a trail ride up into the mountains of Montana and at one of the most beautiful spots I have ever seen with the mountains in the background, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! After probably what seemed like a lifetime to him as my brain caught up to my mouth and I could finally speak, I said YES!!! It was the perfect proposal for us and a moment we will cherish forever.
Leave it to a viral pandemic to force us to postpone our wedding. At lease we will have an interesting story to tell when people ask us about our wedding for years to come. While we will not be getting married on the originally planned date of April 18, 2020 we WILL be getting married just a short 7 months later on November 21, 2020. See you all then! The wedding website will be updated with new information and keep an eye out for our change the date notification! Thanks for all the love and support!
We wanted to give an update on the COVID preparations and precautions we will be implementing at the wedding. All of the vendors will be wearing masks. There will be a served buffet and dessert table. The venue has installed several hand sanitizer stations throughout. The venue is large and is built to hold up to 400 guests so there is plenty of space both inside and out for social distancing. We are asking guests to wear a mask any time you are not able to be socially distant from others. We will be providing masks. We have guests attending that are of all ages, health statuses, and from all over the country. Our top priority is to make sure everyone leaves our wedding happy and healthy and no one brings the virus home to their own families and jobs. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns regarding the COVID precautions we are taking.
