Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Jenny Mavely

Maid of Honor - Sister of the Bride

Once upon a time, my mother gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Jenny. Her dreams were finally fulfilled because her first daughter, Dana was an absolute troublemaker. I was clearly the favorite child but, as we got older things changed. Dana grew up to be loved by everyone. Even though we have opposite personalities, we complement each other perfectly. Dana isn’t only my sister but she’s also my best friend. My sister is beautiful, kind, hardworking, intelligent, strong, resilient and most importantly, God fearing. We’ve been through a lot together over the years and I’m blessed to have Dana by my side through it all. This is one of the biggest moments we’ve both looked forward to our whole lives. I can’t wait to party with everyone on August 8th! - the OG favorite child

My friendship with Levi started with 2 heinekens, 2 quesadillas, and 1 broken down car. What could’ve been a great night turned into an absolute tragedy. After spending the night out, Levi convinced me to take a ride down to Taco Bell. After we finished ordering, his car broke down in the middle of the drive thru and I’m trying not to judge. After 10 seconds of trying to get the engine to turn on, Levi says “hey can you push my car?” After pushing his car to the drive-thru window, I told myself I’ll be steering clear of him for the rest of this trip. But the next morning we woke up and couldn’t stop laughing at what happened. All that laughter turned into many more enjoyable moments. 10 years later our bond is stronger than ever. Levi isn’t only my best friend but he’s my brother.

Bridesmaid - Sister of the Groom

I first saw Dana in a picture that Levi showed me a few years ago. He had told me they were talking & getting along great. I didn’t think too much into it, but I could tell by the way he spoke about her, something was different. It wasn’t until January 21st, 2019, that I knew things were very real. I casually texted Levi, “so is she the one?”. I didn’t expect him to answer me so abruptly but he replied, “Yes! She’s too good for me. She’s my angel.” Instant tears. As a little sister, you pray & dream of nothing more than for your big brother to be happy. When he affirmed that for me, I knew this was it. Dana is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. I’m so happy that Levi found the epitome of a strong & beautiful woman that I’d been hoping for. She’s a blessing beyond all belief.

From best friends, to roommates, and to scheming together.. If I had to describe Levi as a snack, it would be a chocolate covered pretzel. Like this popular bar snack, Levi is both Sweet and Salty. This unique dual personality makes him an ideal friend. I’ve seen Levi use his salty side to go from zero to 100 real quick! I’ve also seen Levi use his sweet side to advise a friend or family member who is going through a hard time or even facing a traffic ticket! While Levi’s salty side makes him an accomplished attorney, his sweet side shows through in his care for his friends, family and now Dana. I’m happy to see that Dana has chosen Levi as not just a snack but her main course. My only advice to Dana for the future is to not eat too many pretzels! 🥨

Bridesmaid- Sister of the Bride

Dana has been one of the sweetest, most thoughtful, mature, hardworking and determined individual I have met. She's lived with my family for almost a year in Maryland and I have seen her being such a joy, around our kids, her workplace, in church, and making friends so easily. She's a great dancer too and an inspiration for how she focuses on health and wellness. I was so excited to hear about Levi and even more pleased when we met him. We see the love between them and are thankful to God for bringing them together.  When we met Levi's family, we were more convinced that both our families had solid foundations built on Faith and Selfless Love. We were welcomed with open hearts and I hope to extend the same hospitality when everyone makes it out to Toronto in August! See you all there!

I first met Levi in 2004 at a church youth conference. Levi approached me and we ended up talking and hanging out for the next 3 days. We instantly clicked talking about life, family and mostly girls. My enjoyable memories are the parties and being two silly college kids. But my fondest memories are the hours of conversations we had during every challenge that life brought us. My brother from another mother. Looking forward to standing next to you on your best day.

When I was first introduced to Dana as one of Kiran’s (my husband) many cousins, I never thought she would turn out to be someone so much dearer. I have many memories of us together in Kottarakara, Trivandrum, Chennai and Doha. I've always enjoyed the long video calls, shopping, cooking, beauty tips, work-out sessions, photo sessions and most of all, pulling Kiran’s leg. Dana is the best Aunt & babysitter my kids, Joshua & Jia could ever get and I’m waiting for my turn to pamper and spoil her kids (Levi, note the point😉). I never thought I’d be coming all the way to Canada for her wedding. But even before she found Levi, she had threatened us with dire consequences if we failed to attend her wedding! And so, dear Dana, God willing, I’ll be there beside you to hear you say, "I do".

Groomsman

Levi and I first met in high school, where we found out we both got into UF (Go Gators!) and decided to be roommates during our freshman year. Coming into college, I thought I was a seasoned rapper/baller and thought Levi was an innocent, sheltered guy. Boy, how times have changed. We both grew into the men we are now and our friendship grew into a brotherhood over the years. Like a brother, I'd like to say I introduced him to many domestic aspects of life, such as the time I taught him how to do laundry during our first semester as roommates. So Dana if you're reading this, just know it's NOT too late for anything else you want to teach him. All jokes aside, I'm blessed to have Levi as a friend and I'm happy he found his other half. Cheers to many more memories!

Dana & I met 25 years ago, when I was born & we've been friends ever since. But as we grew older, I started seeing Dana less as a friend & more as an older sister. I annoyed her like a younger sister & still do. The beauty of knowing her for so long is that I got to see EVERY phase. My favourites are: 1. Preteen Dana: a little girl, obsessed with Bollywood (she literally learned Hindi just by watching the movies) 2. Green contacts Dana: In her defense, she looked pretty good in them. 3. Desi Dana: When she went to Manipal & developed a tiny Indian accent. I was blessed to witness & make fun of her during these precious moments. So Levi, you can trust me when I say you got Dana during her BEST PHASE OF ALL. The beautiful, smart, brown eyed pharmacist phase. I pray this phase lasts forever 🙏

Levi, where do I even begin. From your amazing athletic skills (both on the field and Fantasy) to your chiseled jawline, you are a mans man. A mans man that’s always been a great friend; honest, caring, and always ready to put me or Goonpavo in check. You’re transparent and loyal and you found the same in Dana. Seeing you two together laughing and smiling, brings me such happiness and makes me so excited to see what the future has in store for you two. You guys are truly meant for one another. You were there for me on my special day and I can’t wait to be there for yours and Dana’s. Cheers!

Bridesmaid

I’ve known Dana for almost two decades. When I first met her, she was this bratty little girl with a short bob who always wanted to be my friend. Back then I thought I was too cool for her and could boss her around and so I did... and she will tell you... I even made her cry. From church to sleepovers to dance practices, Dana was a pretty constant person in my life. I’ve never told her this, but she is one of my most valued friends. I’m extremely fortunate to see her grow into this intelligent, caring, thoughtful and beautiful person inside and out. Dana, I know you call me your Idol but I’m so proud of the woman you are today and in fact you’re MY Idol! Levi, my girl is a hopeless romantic. She wears her heart on her sleeve; treat her like a princess and she will give you the world!

Bridesmaid

Dana & I have been friends for over a decade now! From our hangout sessions at home, our joint sweet sixteen party to living together in first year. She is an invaluable friend and I thank God for bringing her into my life! So, when she first mentioned Levi, being an over-protective friend, I had to be skeptical. Dana asked me to recommend some places to visit with Levi, and OF COURSE I made them a personalized map and itinerary. The fact that helped dispel ANY previous doubts I had about Levi, was when she told me that one of the first things that he suggested they do was pray together. From that point on, I knew that God has special plans for these two. I can’t wait for their wedding and hope they know how happy I am that I now also have a permanent place to stay when I visit Florida!

“From the very first moment I laid eyes on you at church, I knew you were the one.” Dana and I met at church, while she was living in Maryland. We became such great friends, or so I thought because I continually texted her everyday...I’m sure she was so sick of me, but for some reason she stuck around. In the short time I’ve known Dana I have seen her dedication and passion to her profession and to Levi. The first time I met Levi, I was like who’s this tough guy trying to take my Dana, but I grew to like him and I’m so happy for Dana and Levi as they embark on this journey. Cheers to the Thomas Squad!

Bridesmaid

Dana and I first met each other at pharmacy school. We went from being total strangers to close knit roomies. Our daily routine would consist of applying face masks, teaching Dana how to make round chapatis (you’re welcome Levi!) and watching Full House till we’d fall asleep. Anytime I’m looking for motivation, I would turn to Dana, we were gym buddies and the days I’d feel lazy she’d drag me with her and we’d sweat our hearts out. But the best part was stopping to grab some ice cream for our walks home. Levi is going to be one lucky husband because not only is Dana a smart woman, she’s also beautiful and has a big heart. On top of that she loves to dance and with her moves I have no doubt she’ll be the first one on the dance floor at the wedding lighting up the room with her smile!

Raeesa Khalid

Bridesmaid

Dana and I met in pharmacy school in India. We were immediately drawn to each other because we were one of the handful number of Canadians in pharmacy school. We became roomies and had so much fun living together! From study sessions to working out together to face masks to watching movies and doing random silly things to make each other laugh, we grew close. Although we don’t see each other often, we make the effort to keep in touch and it’s one of those friendships that will stay as special and close even without having to talk everyday. Dana was my bridesmaid for my wedding and I’m so honored to be hers on her special day as she hands her heart over to Levi. I had the pleasure of meeting Levi recently and I couldn’t think of a more perfect guy for Dana! Wish y’all the best in life!
