Levi and Rebekah first met through Rebekah’s roommates in San Diego, where Levi would occasionally come by for get-togethers. Rebekah remembers him always in the kitchen, and they'd get into playful conversations while everyone else was hanging out. They both knew there was something there, but at the time it stayed just that, a quick hello here and there (Levi was just too timid to ask Rebekah out). A little while later, after a season of life that came with its share of ups and downs, one of Rebekah's roommates moved to South Carolina to have her baby and invited everyone out to celebrate. That’s where they reconnected, and they could both tell there was something between them they didn’t want to miss. After returning from South Carolina, Levi finally had the courage to ask Rebekah out, and they went for coffee followed by a walk on the beach. They both enjoyed each other’s company so much they decided to do the same walk that night! They planned to take things slow, but it all felt so easy and natural that it didn’t take long to realize there was something really special here. Levi had always been someone who knew exactly what he was looking for and wasn’t going to settle until he found it, while Rebekah had walked through enough to know how meaningful that kind of steadiness really is. From the very beginning, Levi was intentional in the way he pursued Rebekah. Their relationship quickly became full of long walks on the beach, where Rebekah would ask Levi every question she could think of, mixed with lots of laughing, dancing in the kitchen, and making their favorite meals together. They balance each other in the best way. Levi brings a sense of stability and groundedness to Rebekah's life, and Rebekah brings a little bit of fun and spontaneity into his. Levi had always loved how compassionate Rebekah is with him and others, and has always thanked God for bringing Rebekah into his life. Rebekah loves Levi for his steadiness, the way he cares so deeply, and how easy it is to feel at home with him. Six months later, they were engaged, and they truly can’t wait to start this next chapter of their lives together.
