Welcome

Thank you for visiting our wedding website! We can't wait to celebrate with our guests! In anticipation of the big day, we have created this wedding website to keep our guests up to date on all the details of our wedding.

How We Met

Our story goes back to 2020, when we first crossed paths at a local technical college’s Staff and Student of the Year competition. We ran in similar circles as educators, but had never had any prior encounters with each other. A year or so later, Destiny moved into administration. Michael reached out to congratulate her (he’ll tell you he was "left on read"), though we did chat off and on a bit about some mutual students. Fast forward to Spring 2022 — we both ended up in West Georgia’s Educational Leadership Specialist program. His cohort was presenting to Destiny’s, and Michael was brave enough to come down and start a conversation before everyone scattered. That moment turned into something we didn’t quite see coming. That summer, our first official date was at Hardware Pizza — great food, even better company. A few months later, on February 10, 2023, Michael asked Destiny to be his girlfriend. Then, on December 28, 2024, he pulled off the ultimate surprise… the engagement!

The Engagement

If there’s one thing about Michael, it’s that he knows how to celebrate his birthday. So when Destiny got an invitation from his cousin to a surprise birthday party, she didn’t think much of it. Throughout the day, she checked in with him — he’d been in Savannah the night before and mentioned plans to attend an office Christmas party with one of his best men. Still, Destiny couldn’t help but find it a little odd that her dad wanted to tag along for Michael’s celebration (definitely not his usual move). When she and her mom arrived at the PAL Theatre, gift in hand, they headed upstairs — and the room was dark. Thinking she was early, Destiny cheerfully announced, “It’s just me, y’all!” That’s when Michael’s mom gently turned her around… and there he was — standing on a red, candlelit carpet with a glowing neon sign behind him that read “Will you marry me?” Keith, one of his best men, was singing, Evan the photographer was capturing every second, and the entire setup was pure magic. The best part? It wasn’t just a surprise for Destiny — it was a surprise for almost everyone there (minus a few of the fellas and his cousin who helped pull it off). It was the perfect blend of love, laughter, and just enough chaos to make it unforgettable.
