It was 2020 and the pandemic had just shut down everything. In their own pockets of Orlando, they downloaded dating apps (what else are single people supposed to do stuck at home?). They swiped and they matched. The first date was at a local coffee shop. Jacob showed up with masks and Sophia swooned. The pandemic really redefined chivalry. They talked for hours and from there, they were inseparable. On March 7, 2021, Jacob put a collar on Riley (their corgi) that had a special message. When Riley inevitably went to Sophia looking for treats, Sophia read the special message and Jacob proposed. She said yes. ...and yes, Riley eventually got her treats
