Its finally here!

We planned to take a hot air balloon ride the Sunday before, but the weather chose otherwise. It was a beautiful morning and wake woke up very early to take off right after sunrise. When we arrived to the take off spot of the hot air balloons, we were “informed” that the other 4 people in our basket couldnt make it, so we would be flying up just the two of us. Tired from waking up early and the long drive, Ellen brushed it off as awesome luck. Little did she know, Michael had planned out the entire thing. They set off up into the clear blue sky, overlooking the Rocky Mountains—admiring how beautiful it all was. About half way through our ride, the aeronaut asked us if we wanted some champagne, which we happily accepted. Michael knew then that it was go time. He pointed out towards the moutains telling Ellen to look out at something—when she turned back to Michael, he was down on one knee, holding a wooden box with hot air balloons etched into it. There, suspended in the air, Michael asked Ellen to be his wife and spend the rest of their lives together. The day continued with countless calls to friends and family sharing the great news, a wonderful brunch with some friends and many more glasses of champagne.
