This is where we said "I love you" for the first time. This park has an amazing playground, dog park, and is a great place to go for walks or runs.
We went here for our first date. We spent time observing (possibly make fun of) the art, enjoying the restaurant on the inside, and spent the vast majority of our time walking the extensive trails around the museum and appreciating their outdoor art installations as well. It is free admission and a great way to spend a whole day! This also is where Kyle proposed and we took our engagement photos there.
So we didn't just spend our first date at the art museum we also came here to watch "A Quiet Place, Day One". We spent a very long time outside talking afterwards, but you can enjoy their movies and dinner!
One of our first spontaneous dates after church one night. We spent hours here walking in the rain. This area has lots to do from shopping, eating, drinking, dancing, or just wandering around like we did!
Right after our date here Kyle asked Sierra to be his girlfriend. So obviously we think this is a great place to go!
We went here several times for our early dates. It has the largest beer selection in the world and minigolf outside in the back. It is a super fun place to go to for dinner and its open for families till 7p.m.
When Sierra was laid off, we had weekly “book dates” here. We would spend our time reading together or talking about what we were learning. Simple, meaningful, and still one of our favorite ways to spend time! (Not specific to this location please feel free to visit any book store! If you want specific bookstore recommendations ask Sierra about all the best local spots)
Great lunch, dinner, and coffee spot near the venue! We love the houses in the area and enjoy admiring the community.
If you are feeling really crazy and want to add some thrills to your trip, we cannot recommend Busch Gardens enough! This year we actually decided to get annual passes. We both had never been here before, but came here for their Christmas Town festival and it is now our favorite nearby theme park. We are also both history nerd so it being next to Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown is a huge plus!
