Brad and I had crossed paths numerous times throughout high school. We even sat next to each other in Sign Language sophomore year. Ironically, we recently discovered that we resided closely in the same neighborhoods while growing up in Pasadena and La Porte. Fate? It wasn't until 2007, our senior year, that we knew we had something special. I'm assuming, we both looked forward to American History class that semester. Whether he was waiting for me to sneak out for some late night adventure, or if he was just picking me up from drill team practice, I always loved riding in that little white civic! Our cherished memories of high school parties, Thursday nights at RICH'S, and trips to Crystal Beach weren't all we had to gain from this new infatuation. Coming from two different social circles, we both gained new friendships. Some of which, we still share today. On May 4, 2008, Brad asked that I be his girlfriend and we became "official. "Chato Ball, Prom, and graduation would soon follow. The rest is history!
Once upon a time, there was a young girl and boy. They were head over heels for each other. The two would end up having two little princesses of their own, along with nine and a half years packed full, of surprises and cherished memories. The young girl knew they shared a bond like no other and that her and her Prince Charming would grow old together, but there was still one thing her heart patiently longed for. She dreamed of the day, they would say, "I do," to one another. Seeing as this girl could quote any Disney movie and perform any Disney princess song ever made, she fantasized about an enchanting proposal right in front of Cinderella's castle. Determined, the girl would plan two trips to Disney, making jokes and dropping hints. Still hopeful, she found herself planning their third trip to the most magical place on Earth. They say, "third time's a charm," and it was! The boy had gone above and beyond in planning some magic of his own. He got down on one knee, recited some perfect nonsense, and presented the most exquisite ring imaginable. Not only, was her father, his parents, their two daughters, and a couple of their closest friends there to witness and document the entire thing, but four more of the couple's best friends had come out of hiding, smiling and with open arms. November 24, 2017, my perfect Disney World dream proposal became a reality and our closest friends and family were there to share it with us!
