God's plans are better

FINALLY, After 10 years of waiting.....Our Wedding Day is here!! Josh and Ali met 17 years ago back in high school in 2007 when a mutual friend introduced them. They shared their first handshake and from that moment, they both knew they were smitten. A friendship started to build and a couple months later, they had their first study date at Starbucks on December 18, 2007. That day changed everything. For 3 hours, Ali locked eyes with Josh, unable to look anywhere else, feeling she was in love for the first time in her life. Josh sat there nervous as heck while a wave of emotions overcame him with the thought "I met the woman I'm going to marry." After high school they went to college - Josh to SDSU and Ali to UNLV. Josh was inspired to join the Airforce during college and shortly after graduating he swore in. His first assignment moved him from San Diego to Pensacola Florida. During the same time, Ali was moving to Vegas for nursing school. After one week of long distance and Josh not ready for marriage, he thought it was best to go their own way. Sure enough, not even a month later, Josh began texting Ali. He pursued her for the next few months fighting to get her back. After the daily calls, facetimes, and skypes, he finally made the decision to physically fight for her and purchased a plane ticket to fly out and visit her back home in San Diego for her spring break. He made some big plans and took her to Santa Monica pier, a place she always wanted to go to get proposed. He serenaded her with an album of songs all about love and marriage that he made for their 3 hr drive. After a fun, exciting and nerve wrecking day in Santa Monica pier, they headed back home. With no proposal, Ali was extremely confused and the entire ride home wondered why he took her there. But a few hours later she found the streets of Josh’s neighborhood filled with cars up and down the aisle. Arriving at his house they quickly changed out of their beach clothes into nicer clothes. Moments later Ali was led to the backyard where she saw candles lighting a pathway on the ground leading all the way to Josh who was standing in the center. She looked around and saw all their family and friends on both sides of the candlelit pathway. Startled and nervous, Ali walked down the lit up pathway and, after 7 years, she watched the man of her dreams get down on one knee and asked her to marry him!!! Excited to start their life together, they had to plan quickly as long distance was off the table. They had a simple and quick wedding with plans for a larger wedding a year later. Unfortunately, that one-year-later turned into 2 and the 2 years turned into 5 and the 5 years turned into TEN !! Military calling them to move early, moving to England, covid, leg injuries and life happened. But now, things turned out better than they could’ve imagined! With moving to Las Vegas, creating their first home, bringing home their first fur baby (Luna) and falling in love with their life in Vegas, they decided what better place to "Retie the Knot" than fabulous Las Vegas alongside their closest family and friends! The weekend will be filled with fun celebrations focusing on being with each other and having fun! Join Josh and Ali as they "Retie The Knot" in fabulous Las Vegas at a small wedding chapel before they elope to Lake Como, Italy for their formal vow renewal and honeymoon!! Please celebrate the journey of their 10 year wedding finally happening! Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.
