How Did We Meet?

#realisticfairytale

Sometimes the best blessings in life are put in front of us when we're at our lowest. Jason and I talked in depth about how we both had practically lost hope when we found ourselves needing outside help. On July 5th, 2018 I was admitted to Salem's Psychiatric Medical Center. I had found myself at a crossroads; disconnected from my faith, adrift in depression, and not knowing how anything could improve... On July 6th, 2018 Jason was willingly checked in to the same facility, which is abbreviated to "PMC". I went in with no intention of finding my optimism again. Once I saw Jason, that viewpoint changed. I wasn't the only one blessed by his presence and testimony. He was the light and love we all needed In fact, we hope for you all to meet Russel, who will be a part of the wedding as Jason's best man. We departed from PMC on the same day, intending to stay in touch as friends. We met at a local coffee shop the next day before going to Bush Gardens for a walk. Now, looking back, what could have been such a sad time has bloomed into newfound joy.

Where's Jason Been?

Jason was born in Seattle, Washington. His family moved to Idaho less than a year later. He got to travel quite a bit in his younger years. After Idaho he moved to Joliet, Illanois. For those who don't yet know Jason, he's a very humorous guy. Practical jokes and crazy tom-foolery is part of the daily norm 😂 He's been that way since infancy! Speaking of which - he used to scoot down the stairwell at his home in Joliet on his padded butt, clad in a diaper. So independent from an early age, he found a creative and funny solution to getting around. Next stop was Tri-Cities, Washington! Many memories made at Lewis and Clark Elementary School. His sister Jen and brother Keith were born while they lived there. Just getting into his teenage years, they moved to Oceanside, California. Sixth grade in a new school! If Jason created any gray hair for his parents, it happened there 😅 Many life events happened there. His oldest daughter, Mariah Rae, was born December 23rd, 1992. Jason was 22 years old. Becoming a father was the highlight of his life and the major focus through all of it. Back to Tri-Cities! Jason's second baby girl Sierra Storm was born there on April 25th, 1995. Around 1999 they moved to Arizona based on a job opportunity. Quite a change of pace! That only lasted a short two years. Jason always knew he wanted to raise his girls in Oregon and set down roots there. So the family packed up a relocated once again, trying to get closer to their goal. Third time's a charm, right? Tri-Cities made another debut, for less than a year, as a transition point. After two failed attempts to move to Oregon, the third time was a success - yay!!! Jason's never left it since, nor does he intend to...
