How the heck this happened

First comes denial, then comes...marriage?

We met through FSU Cycling Club when it was in the early days of a brief (but bright!) resurgence in early 2019. For clarity here, this story will be in third person. After a few months, Sydney invited Will to join her and her roommate in a cozy condo near campus, and he readily agreed. Despite constantly being asked if they were dating, each insisted that there was nothing going on. In truth...well, there was nothing going on. They did, however, become roommates, co-workers, close friends, and President and VP of said Cycling Club during this time. This carried on for over a year as each completely missed signals from the other. Eventually, Sydney graduated and left for Wyoming and a new path which would send her across the country and then back a few times. While the two kept in touch on and off through different relationships, it seemed like they'd both moved on to different lives. That is...until fate brought them back together and gave them a chance they thought they'd missed. And by fate... we mean Lauren Hadley. Lauren was Will's roommate in Atlanta, where he'd settled after taking a hiatus from FSU. Recently she had also become Sydney's coworker (remotely) and was hot on the trail of the two lovebirds after seeing the way they interacted in person. Through some sneaky and occasionally alcohol-lubricated conversations, she managed to convince both Will and Sydney that they were, in fact, idiots. Will fabricated a perfect plan: come to Brevard, NC, where Sydney was living, under the guise of doing Asheville Gran Fondo together. After nearly dying of heat stroke, both decided to cut the event short and create their now-beloved 'alt-route' of the Fondo. Instead of collapsing from exhaustion, the two took Will's Saab up onto the Blue Ridge Parkway where Sydney had planned a beautiful hike to a secluded spot alongside a river. There, they could finally admit their feelings and, well... the rest is history. In sum: we're both a little oblivious, thanks Lauren Hadley, and we're getting married. We hope you can help us celebrate finally realizing what we have and deciding to take the next step together.
