For Nate, our story began in 2012. As a freshman at Saint Michael's College, he woke up early one Saturday morning after a night out and decided he was hungry enough to get out of his dorm to get the absurdly-early breakfast at the dining hall. Once he got his food, he recognized a girl from his class, Celsey, to sit down with. This meal kicked off a great friendship throughout college, after which they both moved to Boston to start their careers. For Carly, our story began in 2018, when she moved closer to home from Virginia and was in search of an apartment in Boston. She stumbled across a hilarious Facebook group's post from two girls her age, Celsey and Beth, in need of a third roommate in Andrew Square (IYKYK). After connecting with them, they all decided it was a great fit, and she quickly moved in. Our world's collided when Nate visited Celsey shortly thereafter and noticed new furniture in the spare room. "You got a new roommate?" Nate asked, which made a light bulb go off in Celsey's head. She immediately replied "Oh my god, you need to meet her - you guy's would be perfect together!". After Beth's validation, Nate took Carly's number and we began chatting, agreeing to meet for dinner. Our first date was in the North End of Boston on November 17, 2018, and fate was already beginning to reveal itself on the day of. After Nate joked to Celsey about wearing a disco shirt on the date, and ended up wearing his roommate's disco ball earring instead as an icebreaker, Carly's uber ride to the North End was fully decked out with disco balls and the like. Despite Carly's first words to Nate being "No, no, no" (while taking the disco ball earring off), we had a great night of Italian food, cannoli's, and getting to know each other. Our relationship and love has grown ever since that night and has taken us to all kinds of places, including trips to Mexico, Portugal, Aruba, Acrisure Stadium (sorry Kelly), India, and England. We moved into our first apartment together in 2020, in which we adopted everyone's favorite shoulder cat, Cora. In 2023, we purchased our first house that we've since been slowly turning into our home with lots of help from our wonderful families! With Carly's mother Kelly and brother Jake on hand, Nate proposed to Carly on July 18, 2023 at Red Rocks Park outside of Denver, which to Nate's success was still able to be a surprise after nearly five years of dating! The rest will be history!
