- Download the app before you go (RCD hotels in the App store). In the app you can check out the daily activity schedules on the property, make dinner reservations 30 days prior, order room service and much more! **THIS APP IS NEW AND PEOPLE ARE REPORTING TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES** - Although you can use the app for dining reservations, canwe found it easiest to book dining by emailing prearrivalhost@unicohotelrm.com with your desired restaurant, time, number of guests joining you. They will ask you for your confirmation number which can be found in your email from when you booked your stay (from Julia Mauro). - The restaurants can be chilly for dinner. We recommend packing a jacket of some sort if you tend to get cold. - Don't forget to bring sunscreen and any over-the-counter meds you may need. These are available at the resort, but can be pricey. - Don't forget your passport!!! Please note your passport must be AT LEAST 6 months prior to expiring upon departure. - Although not required, all servers and resort staff appreciate tips. Small bills are best whether it be Pesos or USD. ($1, $5, $10 for tipping) - Pro Tip - bring an insulated tumbler/cup to keep your drinks cool while lounging in the sun. The bartenders will make your drink in your cup if you ask! Additionally, if you are someone who likes to drink from a straw, consider bringing your own as theirs are paper only. - The resort provides pool/beach towels and a sun hat that you can get painted on premise.

What should we expect for dining options during the week?

Unico 20 87 has numerous options for dining. Full menus can be found on the app or Unico website. Due to the large size of our group, we cannot make dining reservations to all be together. Though not required, we recommend making dinner reservations at least two weeks BEFORE you arrive, in order to make sure you get your desired time and restaurant. You can make reservations one month prior to your stay via email at prearrivalhost@unicohotelrm.com. *Restaurants accommodate up to 8 guests per table with the exception of hibachi at the Mura house which can fit 11 guests. *They do take walk-ins and reservations while on the resort - booking ahead ensures larger groups can eat together. Of note, the bride and groom are hosting a catered welcome party on the 13th, and dinner the night of the wedding. RESTAURANT OPTIONS: MI CARISA: ITALIAN - SALADS, FRESH PASTA, FISH & FILET MIGNON. CUEVA SIETE: MEXICAN - AWARD WINNING CHEFS, TRADITIONAL MEXICAN FARE, TABLE-SIDE GUAC, GRILLED FISH, LAMB CHOPS + MORE! MURA HOUSE: ASIAN - HIBACHI/TEPPANYAKI GRILL OR TRADITIONAL TABLE SEATING SERVING SUSHI, GRILLED YAKITORI SKEWERS, CRAFT BEER AND SAKE. 2087 RESTAURANT: BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER. What airport should we fly into?

Cancun International Airport (CUN) is approximately 1 hour from the resort and the recommended airport for arrival/departure. **PLEASE NOTE: once you arrive at the Cancun airport, do not stop to talk to people trying to sell you items or asking if you need transportation. Your shuttle representative will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it to take you to your car**

How do we get to and from the resort?

Answer

When you book through our website you will have the option to select various round trip options. *These can be added to your reservation up until 30 days prior to arrival* 1) Shared transfer: this option is paid per person and may include individuals staying at other resorts. Will take up to two hours to get to the resort since stops will be made along the way. 2) Private transfer: Paid per car and can be shared between up to 6 individuals you are traveling with (must be on same flight). Will take 45-55 minutes to get to resort, direct trip.

Do we need to attend all the events listed?

We want you to view this as your vacation just as much as our wedding. Please feel free to attend or not attend whatever events we offer as you desire. We will not be offended! All we ask is that you RSVP to the events where RSVP is requested.

What is the attire for your wedding?

Answer

Smart casual. We want you to be comfortable and not sweat to death in the expected Mexican heat. Men may opt for linen or other light weight materials. Women may wear skirts, short or long dresses, or comfortable pants. Please note, no part of our wedding day will take place on the beach/in sand.

Do I need a passport?

Yes! Be sure to double check that your passport is within 6 months of expiration prior to your day of departure.

Will we need to pay for anything additional during our stay?

Answer

Unico is an all inclusive resort, meaning from the moment you arrive at the resort, your food, drink, and all activities are included (except excursions, spa services, and our planned boat day on 3/16/25). Unico 20°87° offers unlimited high-end dining at four restaurants, plus one cafe, 24 hour room service, poolside snacks, and cocktails. Please consider bringing cash for tips if you feel the staff’s efforts have been exceptional. No need to exchange to Pesos as the resort accepts US Dollars.)

Tell me more about the St. Patrick’s day pool party

If wanting to hang poolside to recover from the wedding, we have rented pool side cabanas as a meeting point to continue the celebrations! Since it is St. Patrick’s day weekend, we figured we didn’t want to miss out on the holiday and made it the theme of our own little pool party. Pack something green to make it extra festive!

So what is this boat day all about?

You can find more information at the following link: https://h2ohcruises.com/pura-vida/ Pick up from the hotel is at 12:30 PM, and we should be back to Unico by 5:30. This will be a 4 hour excursion including an open bar and a meal, all on a beautiful yacht. Will also include snorkeling, paddle boarding, and even karaoke! Price is pending number of attendees, but expecting $100/person (75/person PLUS an additional $20.00 cash/person for marina fees). You can pay the $75 dollars ahead of time to Zach or pay upon arrival via cash/check/venmo.
