A formerly industrial area, Riverworks is a massive restaurant and bar with regular live music, good food, and local beers on tap. Riverworks also has zip-lining, a ferris wheel, and a giant mural of a can of Labatt Blue! Maybe you'll even get to smell the Cheerios being made at the General Mills factory nearby!
Waterfront fun downtown including kayak rentals, an antique solar-powered carousel, several museums, bars and restaurants, and historic boat tours. You can also grab a coffee at the official Buffalo Sabers' Tim Horton's!
Only 30 minutes north of the city, go see the falls, take a ride on the Maid of the Mist on the river to observe the falls up close, or if you're brave, walk the hurricane deck into the falls itself! Weather dependant, of course.

While over there, check out the Our Lady of Victory Basilica, which is within waking distance. It's an international site of pilgrimage and one of the most beautiful Catholic churches in the country.
This beautiful park-like cemetery is a historic site all its own. You can arrange a historic tour, or pick up a map and go self-guided. Visit the final resting places of Rick James, President Millard Fillmore, Red Jacket, Ely Parker and William Letchworth.

See a beautiful view of the Buffalo-Niagara area from the top of Chestnut Ridge Hill, or walk the Eternal Flame Trail to see where a natural-glass flame burns behind a small waterfall.

Visit the famous Vidler's Five and Dime store for a walk back in time, grab a bite to eat at Elm Street Bakery, or go for a hike around the historic Knox Farm site! Love waterfalls? Drive about 50 minutes east of Buffalo and explore this gorgeous park. Hike up the three beautiful waterfalls or through the woods. When you're done, stop by the Letchworth mansion for a bite to eat and the restaurant.
