Our story started the way all great romances do: at work… in an automotive service department. Ryan came in for a job interview, and I was there as a service advisor—aka the person who translates “weird car noises” into actual sentences and somehow keeps everything running smoothly. Ryan, on the other hand, was applying to be a technician—aka the guy who actually has to deal with the problems I confidently write up… eventually. So naturally, this was already a perfect system. Somewhere between questionable first impressions, work orders, grease-stained hands, and me telling him what needed to be done while he pretended to listen, something unexpected happened—we started to like each other. Which was surprising, considering most of our early conversations definitely involved me asking for updates and him saying, “I’m getting to it,” while holding a tool and staring at the same warranty job for 20 minutes—unless, of course, it was a customer pay engine job, in which case the motivation suddenly appeared. And like any true technician, Ryan has spent a significant portion of his career searching for a missing 10mm socket… which, honestly, prepared him well for eventually finding me. And yes, at every point, there were many, many discussions about CDJR vehicles… which really tells you everything you need to know about how strong our relationship is. (It feels necessary to include that both of us own a CDJR vehicle… so clearly, we’re equally committed to making bold life choices.) Moral of the story from that service department experience? Ryan got the job. I got a fiancé. From oil changes to life changes, we fell in love somewhere between the service desk and the shop floor. Turns out, while I was busy writing up repairs and Ryan was busy fixing cars, neither of us realized we were building something that didn’t need fixing at all. And somehow, through all the chaos, conversations, and questionable car opinions, we found something that runs better than any engine ever could—no check engine lights, no diagnostic fees, and surprisingly, no missing parts (except maybe that 10mm socket… still unaccounted for). So mark your calendars—because on June 6th, this partnership is officially leaving the shop and hitting the road… fully inspected, no warning lights, and now comes with a lifetime warranty: unlimited love, free hugs, and zero trade-ins allowed. 🚗💛
