We met at the Murder Mystery Dinner Show. Alyssa worked in the box office and Drew in the show's cast. Although we worked together, we didn't really get to know each other until years after we met. Alyssa left Murder Mystery in 2015 and returned in early 2019. When she returned, we clicked right away. We started spending time together after the show and taking on work projects together. It was clear what our future was to everyone around us, even before we realized it ourselves. It wasn't long until we decided to start dating on April 11, 2019. The rest is history.

I decided in March of 2021 that I was going to propose on our upcoming anniversary on April 11. How and where were a challenge for me to decide. We had met at Murder Mystery, but we neither one worked there anymore, so I couldn't propose there. Our first date was at Harpoon Harry's but we weren't either one huge fans of that, so I didn't want to propose there either. My brother, Jake, suggested singing a song and getting my friends together. What a good idea! But, with the Coronavirus situation, I didn't think getting everyone together would work. So, I decided to make a video with our close friends and family all singing "Marry You" by Bruno Mars. To my delight, everyone I asked said yes to being involved, and the pieces fell into place. On Sunday, April 11, 2021, She saw the video, I asked, and she said yes!
