Wander the Island

Take some time to explore! You've paid all that money to fly to Hawaii, might as well turn it into a proper vacation. But let's be honest, most of the things listed here are food. Like my aunty says, "Hawaii IS food." Enjoy getting your ono kine grindz on!

Zippy’s

46-38 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe, HI 96744
, (808) 233-2700

A local fast food/comfort food chain, you will find multiple locations around the island. And they are open late, so a perfect place to stop if you have the late-night munchies or post-party spot! They're famous for their chili and apple napples, but they also have great fried chicken!

Liliha Bakery

515 North Kuakini Street, Honolulu, HI 96817
, (808) 531-1651

This place is a killer bakery as well as a great breakfast place!

Waiola Shave Ice

2135 Waiola Street, Honolulu, HI 96826
, (808) 949-2269

If you want some shave ice and you're in town/don't want to wait in long lines, visit here! They have plenty flavors though, so know what you want when you get to the front!

Iolani Palace

364 South King Street, Honolulu, HI 96813
, (808) 522-0822

Go check out the only palace in the US and a piece of Hawaiian history.

Nu‘uanu Pali

Nu‘uanu Pali

Honolulu, HI 96744

Also known as the Pali Lookout. We learned in school that this is where King Kamehameha defeated his enemies and forced them over the cliffs in order to unite the islands. It's super windy up there, so be prepared if you're wearing a dress!

Pillbox Hike

265 Kaelepulu Drive, Kailua, HI 96734

Beautiful sunrise hike on the windward side of the island if you are so inclined. Kailua neighborhood nearby as well as Kailua and Lanikai beach, which have the finest white sand on the island.

Spitting Cave

7 Lumahai Street, Honolulu, HI 96825

Super cool lookout point. Check it out!

Waimea Bay Beach

North Shore, HI 96712

Has a great big rock to jump off, sea turtle sightings, and just really clear water to a deep sandy bottom. One of my favorite beaches on the island, but parking is tight!

Chinatown

Honolulu, HI 96817

Chinatown has undergone a revival in the past few years with trendy restaurants and shops popping in amongst the typical C-town fare. Also has been known to have a hopping nightlife! Set some time aside to explore the neighborhood and eat some delicious food! The infamous Pig and the Lady is always a good idea!

Kaka'ako

Honolulu, HI

Another neighborhood that has undergone a trendy face-lift, there are a lot of beautiful murals to take pictures in front of, as well as some tasty restaurants, shops, and cardboard surfing down grassy hills for the adventurous or nostalgic!
