Things To Eat & Do

As all of our close friends know... we love to eat! Therefore we listed some of our local faves for anyone flying in early or to snack in between the ceremony and reception. We also included some fun options if you arrive early or plan to stay for a while.

Marks Duck House

6184-a Arlington Boulevard, Falls Church, VA 22044
, (703) 532-2125

Get there before 11:30am so the wait isn't too bad!

Magnolia Dessert Bar & Coffee

431 Maple Avenue West, Vienna, VA 22180
, (703) 268-5481

Its quite small but very instagrammable. 2 miles away from the reception!

Teas'n You

8032 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA 22182
, (703) 722-8410

This place has some of the most unique drinks in the DMV and their garlic fries are to die for!

Hai Duong Restaurant Eden Center

6795 Wilson Boulevard, Falls Church, VA 22044
, (703) 538-5289

Want a staple Viet restaurant where everything tastes good? This is your spot! Plus it takes card! My go to here is the Banh Xeo and Bun Cha Hanoi

Daikaya- Ramen (1F no Reservations) - Izakaya (2F)

705 6th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20001
, (202) 589-1600

Okay not exactly close to the venues BUT if you have extra time before or after the wedding, this is def a place to stop at. One of my fave ramen shops right off the Gallery Place/Chinatown metro stop. No reservations however so be prepared to wait.

Jumbo Jumbo Cafe Asia Taste

15192 Frederick Road, Rockville, MD 20850
, (301) 738-9798

Best Taiwanese chicken handsdown. Just get the chicken. Skip the rice. The only good bubble tea is their house tea.

Tea-Do

838 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852
, (301) 309-0863

This shop has some of the most unique bubble teas and some light snacks. Parking sucks however.

Miu Kee Cantonese Cuisine

6653 Arlington Boulevard, Falls Church, VA 22042
, (703) 237-8884

Hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant in the whole DMV. Try the Canadian deep fried fish or their salted pepper deep fried pork chops

KPot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot

5550 Randolph Road, Rockville, MD 20852
, (240) 880-2155

Yes it has KBBQ but save the money and get their hot pot. All of the broths are quite flavorful and plenty of options.

Rice Paper

6775 Wilson Boulevard, Falls Church, VA 22044
, (703) 538-3888

This place has really long waits but their Lau Thai (Thai Hotpot) is to die for and perfect to share with 3 other people. Their Banh Hoi is good too!

Nha Trang Restaurant

6757 Wilson Boulevard, Falls Church, VA 22044
, (703) 534-1657

This place is famous for their nem nuong cuon which is to die for. Their Bun Bo Hue is pretty good too.

Banh Mi DC Sandwich

3103 Graham Road, Falls Church, VA 22042
, (703) 205-9300

Has some of the best banh mi in the area and if you come early enough, you may catch the banh bot chien

New Orleans Seafood

6168 Arlington Boulevard, Falls Church, VA 22044

Straight up one of the most ratchet places you will ever go to but the crawfish is flavorful and juicy. The owner is super sweet and there is buy 5 pounds get 1 pound free deal all the time.

The Spot Asian Food Hall

255 North Washington Street, Rockville, MD 20850

Don't know what you want? This little food hall has Gong Cha bubble tea, Taiwanese Chicken, Hand pulled noodles/dumplings and Poki. Great quick spot near the Church

Pike Kitchen

1066 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852
, (301) 922-1585

Another great food hall option! This one has Viet, Korean (fried chicken), Sushi and Bubble tea. The only catch is that parking is tight.

Great Falls Tavern Visitor Center

11710 Macarthur Boulevard, Potomac, MD 20854
, (301) 767-3714

For all my hikers this trail is scenic and pretty cool. If I can do it, you can do it. However, if you are scared of heights and not comfortable jumping over rocks, I would avoid it. There is a $15 entrance fee per vehicle.

The Wharf DC

1100 Maine Avenue Southwest, Washington, DC 20024
, (202) 314-5759

We have never been but apparently its the thing to do. It has cute shops and restaurants. Parking is $30 though so be ware

National Harbor

Fort Washington, MD 20745

There is a ferris wheel, plenty of food and shopping options near by. In addition, the Tangier Outlets is a mile away!

Smithsonian National Zoological Park Visitor Center

3001 Connecticut Avenue, Washington, DC 20008

We doesn't love a free zoo! It is metro accessible and the parking fee is $25. However, the animals roam in huge cages and pretty much seem happy here

Paladar Latin Kitchen & Rum Bar

203 Crown Park Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD 20878
, (301) 330-4400

This is TV's favorite place for margaritas. They have great late night happy hours on Sundays through Thursday after 9pm.

For all the days along the way
