You can't miss going to Plaza de Armas. Plaza de Armas is the historic and cultural heart of Santiago de Querétaro. It’s one of the city’s most iconic public squares and a must-visit spot for tourists and locals alike. Around the plaza, you’ll find numerous cafés, restaurants, and bars offering local cuisine, coffee, and pastries. You will also find small artisan shops and markets.
We loved our time at Cervecería Hércules. It's a restored 19th century textile factory turned brewery in Querétaro. It's about 15 minutes from the city center and worth a visit. We enjoyed the Tostadas del semidesierto.
If you have time we highly recommend visiting San Miguel de Allende. San Miguel is a charming colonial town renowned for its cobblestone streets, colorful facades, and vibrant art scene. San Miguel is also a UNESCO World Heritage site known for it's high population of American and European expats.
