“Let’s be weird together forever”

While I can’t remember the exact day we met due to terrible memory, I do remember the days that I saw you more clearly. While we were still just friends I remember going on a hike with you and feeling really sad and troubled. You always did your best to respectfully support me during my depression and anxiety. You would encourage me to get out into nature and exercise my sadness away. On this particular day my emotions were enraged and I felt so much anger towards life and everything it was throwing at me. I can’t remember when or how I was triggered during the hike but I remember yelling and treating Miguel undeservedly rude and inappropriate. In my weakest moment, in a moment of despair and pain he came up behind me and gave me the biggest safest bear hug. The most platonic and non-selfish hug. I felt a beautiful human hold me hoping to take my pain away. expecting nothing in return. His empathy swelled with my broken emotions. In this moment I really met Miguel for the first time. I met a man with every fiber of his being laced with the most empathic traits. It wasn’t love at first sight but it was an experience unlike any other I’ve had with a human soul before. In fact I didn’t know I loved him until a couple years later. Miguel I’ve met you 1000’s of times. I’ve met you when your in pain, happy, troubled, goofy, stressed, healing and in pure joy. I’ve met you for the first time many times because your a man that values change and healing. Your always changing for the better and I have the pleasure of meeting a new creation every time. My dear love, I look forward to meeting you 1000 times more.

As the sun painted the sky in hues of gold and orange, we embarked on a hike through the enchanting paradise of Hawai'i. The air was infused with the sweet fragrance of tropical blooms, and the sound of cascading waterfalls whispered secrets of their hidden beauty. The sight was nothing short of breathtaking, but it paled in comparison to the love that radiated from my fiancé's eyes. With a trembling voice, he spoke words that resonated deep within my soul. In the embrace of Hawai'i's lush green environment, in front of a magnificent waterfall, I said yes to forever. The world seemed to rejoice, as if nature itself celebrated our love.
