We're getting married!

It started the way so many great modern love stories do — a match on Dil Mil (Yes, it actually worked!). What began as a simple connection in 2024 quickly became something neither Elizabeth nor Lester could have predicted. Despite being long distance (Elizabeth in New York City and Lester in Maryland), text messages turned into long phone calls which then turned into late night Facetiming until one of them fell asleep on video. Things were going so well that they had to meet and so they began planning. A first date in the energy of New York City set the tone for everything that followed: a relationship that's equal parts spontaneous and grounded, adventurous and at home, always with good food, good laughs, and great company. The relationship was later solidified in Washington DC on their second set of dates. From that first conversation, there was just something there — a comfort, a spark, a vibe that's hard to put into words but impossible to ignore. They became each other's person in the way that sneaks up on you slowly and then feels completely inevitable. When it came time for Lester to propose, he kept it just between them — quiet, intentional, and deeply personal. And then, because Elizabeth deserved to be celebrated by everyone who loves her, the intimate moment gave way to a surprise brunch surrounded by family and friends who had been rooting for them all along.
