WE DO. WE DID. LET'S PARTY!

Sepehr first met Lesly at a Meetup Halloween Party in West Covina. He was a 1970's Ninja on a Hawaiian vacation and she was a "Where's Waldo" impersonator trying to blend in with a crowd of strange, quirky boardgamers. He walked into the room and his eyes were immediately drawn to a woman dressed in a cute, striped red & white top. They mingled, played some games and had a brief conversation. He did his best to charm her and throughout the evening looked for every opportunity to be near her (in a handsome, non-creepy way). He slowly worked up the courage to ask for her number but after a quick bathroom break, she was gone! Disappointed that he had missed his chance, he went outside to his car and prepared to leave. Suddenly she zoomed past him in her car, gave a quick too-da-loo wave with her hand and was gone again!

Our first date was two weeks later and just in case he turned out to be a creepo...Lesly picked a random, cheesy dive bar in Covina. They ordered drinks: hers was way too sweet and his was way too big! Both regretted their beverage choices but were pleasantly distracted by the magnetic attraction between them. They talked and played darts. Sepehr attempted to impress Lesly with his sharp shooting skills in an anticlimactic game of billiards. The highlight of the evening was the live band and the lead singer's exceptional vocals. It was getting late...but they lingered in the parking lot, chatting and slowly walking towards their cars. Wistfully they both admitted that they didn't want the night to end.

For the past 8 months, Sepehr had been taking guitar lessons and secretly learning to play a song for Lesly. He had planned to pop the question at their upcoming Yosemite trip. He had asked Virzen (Lesly's Childhood Friend) to help him scout for the perfect spot. The plan was to hike the Mist Trail to the top of Vernal Falls. They crossed the footbridge then stopped at a scenic spot beside the river. Sepehr calls for Lesly to come closer and nervously begins to strum the first few chords and sings..."Hey Lesly, you've got the love I need. And maybe you'll be my wife. Oh darling, darling, darling..Will you marry me?"
