There are lots of local hikes in Mt Major State Park within a 10-minute drive of local lodging! The Mt Major / Boulder Trailheads are located off of NH Rt 11 (Mt Major Highway). The summit boasts beautiful views of Lake Winnipesaukee.

We went to Shibley's for a quick lunch bite when in the area. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner with a gorgeous view of the Bay!

Old Alton Bay Boston & Maine Railroad Station

For our history buffs - the Historic Alton Bay Railroad Station offers the perfect starting point to explore the history of the village! Originally built in 1907 as part of the Boston & Maine railroad, the station once welcomed travelers arriving by steamship and train. Today, it's a scenic spot filled with town character and waterfront views.
