Like many 2020 love stories, ours began on the dating app Hinge—back when dating meant endless messages and socially distanced virtual dates. Leslie couldn’t resist Matthew’s profile line: “The way to my heart is tacos and tequila.” (A pretty solid life motto, honestly.) Fast forward to December 2023. We were hanging out on the front porch listening to music, one of our favorite ways to unwind, chatting about our upcoming New York trip and our long-term goal of moving to Florida.
