Question

How did Leslie and Paul meet?

Answer

Leslie and Paul met through mutual friends. Having known each other for a few years as acquaintances, Paul finally (!) asked Leslie out for coffee on Aug. 16, 2021. :)

Question

Will the wedding be outside?

Answer

Yes, the wedding ceremony will be held in Leslie and Paul's backyard. After the ceremony, guests will have the option to sit indoors or outdoors as everyone enjoys a traditional British afternoon tea, wedding cake, champagne, and more!

Question

Will this be a large wedding?

Answer

It is important to Leslie and Paul to have a smaller wedding at their home, so due to space limitations, we expect about 50 (ish) guests to attend making this a smaller-size wedding.

Question

What is an 'afternoon tea'?

Answer

An afternoon tea is an assortment of finger sandwiches, scones, and other sweets served on a special tea tray. The tea trays at this event will have been made by the groom, Paul, and guests may take their tea tray home as a wedding souvenir.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Since guests will be outdoor for the patio wedding ceremony, guests are invited to wear dressy, semi-formal attire for August weather. Guests are encouraged to wear shoes that they can stand in for the duration of the ceremony as seating may be somewhat limited due to available space for chairs.

Question

What kind of a ceremony will be held?

Answer

Leslie and Paul, in conjunction with their officiant Rabbi Allison Flash, are planning a Jewish wedding ceremony incorporating many aspects of the diverse Jewish traditions into the liturgy and prayers. To honor religious norms, men will be kindly asked to wear kippot (provided) during the ceremony. We hope you enjoy this meaningful experience!
