FAQs

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are not registered, your gift to us is having you take days off to join us in celebrating! No gifts necessary

Question

What's the Dress Code?

Answer

Leslie: Whatever "wedding best" means for you! Jackets & ties are lovely but not required. Ceremony will be outdoors in the afternoon and temps usually range from 70-80 degrees in May. Evenings can be cool in the Santa Ynez Valley so plan accordingly. Michael: Pants optional

Question

Will there be transportation?

Answer

Yes! There will be shuttle stops at Sideways/Flying Flags & a stop in Solvang at the Vinland Hotel. See details in the Ceremony details section of website for shuttle pick up times

Question

Are Kids Invited

Answer

Leslie: We love your kiddos, we really do, but we want our wedding to be your night off!! Michael: No

Question

Where is Los Olivos/Santa Ynez/Buellton?

Answer

The drive from the L.A. area will take you about 2-2.5 hours. All of the fun will be happening just north of Santa Barbara in wine country.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

If you can only stay one night, you should plan to stay Friday night (the night of the wedding) since it is a 2+ hour drive back to L.A. The ceremony is Friday afternoon, so there is plenty of time to drive up Friday morning if you are only staying for one night. We are planning to have a casual welcome event on Thursday to start the celebrations. And of course you can make an entire weekend out of it!

Question

Do I need to stay the night?

Answer

If you can only stay one night, you should plan to stay Friday night (the night of the wedding) since it is a 2+ hour drive back to L.A. The ceremony is Friday afternoon, so there is plenty of time to drive up Friday morning if you are only staying for one night. We are planning to have a casual group event on Thursday to start the celebration (details to follow). And of course you can make an entire weekend out of it.

Question

Are you REALLY getting married on Friday the 13th??

Answer

Leslie: Look people, this is our 4th attempt at finding a new wedding date that worked for all of our vendors and family members and the weather and, and, and... We are not superstitious, and honestly, after the last year and a half we have all had, Friday the 13th superstitions are child's play. So YES we know it's on Friday the 13th, we are down with it and hope you bring all of your good vibes & good juju with you to help us celebrate an awesome & long overdue weekend of FUN! Michael: If this is a problem for you, please feel free to come the next weekend. We won’t be there.

For all the days along the way
