Is there a dress code?

We envision Garden Party Formal Attire—elegant yet comfortable for an outdoor garden setting. We want you to look and feel your best! Ladies: Floral or solid midi or maxi dresses, or dressy jumpsuits with heels or wedges suitable for grass. Men: Suit or dress slacks with a blazer; ties encouraged. Light fabrics and soft colors are ideal.

Are kids welcome?

We respectfully ask that our wedding day be adults only, 21+. We are limited on how many guests we can have at the venue. Thank you for understanding!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Sweet Pea's has a large parking area on site for the reception.

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! Oli's Trolley will be picking guests up from the Main Street Motel and dropping off at Thompson Island Picnic Area for the ceremony. After the ceremony, the trolley will take guests to Sweet Pea's for the reception and back to the Main Street Motel after the reception!

Can we take an Uber or taxi to and from the venue?

Answer

Ubers and taxis can be very limited or non-existent around Bar Harbor—especially later in the evening. Please don’t plan to rely on ride-share services for your return trip. We suggest carpooling, designating a driver, or scheduling a taxi ahead of time to ensure a smooth trip to and from the celebration.
