Naples or Rome

Fly into Naples (NAP) or Rome (FCO). Naples is easiest. Flying into Rome? Take the high-speed train to Naples (1.5 hours). In Naples, go to Molo Beverello Port (seaside heart of the city). Buy ferry tickets at the port or online with Medmar, Alilauro, SNAV or Caremar. Last trip to Ischia Porto leaves at 9:55 p.m. (50 mins). Ferries make multiple stops so make sure you get off at Ischia Porte.

Taxi & Car Travel

Ridesharing apps are uncommon in Italy and not available on Ischia, so travel by car or bus is often necessary if you prefer not to walk. You can reach Ischia Ponte from Ischia Porto via a scenic 15-minute walk. Though most places accept American credit cards, taxis and buses prefer cash payment in Euros so it is best to change some carry-around cash to Euros before you arrive. There are many car rental options on the island if you want to explore beyond Ischia Ponte (ceremony location), Ischia Porto (ferry port), and Casamicciola (reception location).
