Here are some of our favorite places to visit or grab a bite to eat while in town...
University of California Botanical Garden

This is a beautiful place to spend a couple of hours, located right up the street from both the ceremony and reception.
Casa Latina Bakery
1805 San Pablo Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94702, (510) 558-7177
All of our friends go to this mexican restaurant/bakery as often as possible. It has a warm atmosphere and the food is amazing!
Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive

Another unique place to visit right on campus - they have a neat gift shop.
Mezzo
2442 Telegraph Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94704, (510) 705-1089
This breakfast/sandwich/salad place has a large back patio area with beautiful trees, the sandwiches are huge and the bread is homemade. We love this spot.
Albany Bulb
1 Buchanan Street, Albany, CA 94706
This is a great walking destination. It's a popular 1.7 mile loop with interesting art installations and sculptures along the way.
AKEMI - Japanese, Seafood
1695 Solano Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94707, (510) 524-1286
We went here for our anniversary - it's best to use the reservation feature on the website. Albany is a great area to walk around, there are a few small shops and places to eat all along Solano Avenue.
César Chávez Park
11 Spinnaker Way, Berkeley, CA 94710
I ride my bike throughout the park on the weekends. You'll find lovely views of San Francisco and the Emeryville Marina.
Fourth Street
Fourth Street, Berkeley, CA 94710
Fourth St. in Berkeley has lots of shopping, diners, coffee shops and small gift shops. Very walkable.
Little Star Pizza
1181 Solano Avenue, Albany, CA 94706, (510) 526-7827
Lots of date nights at this pizza place. Their deep dish options are delicious!
Saul's Restaurant & Delicatessen
1475 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94709, (510) 848-3354
This is Doug's recommendation for an authentic pastrami sandwich. Saul's has been around since 1986.
