Our journey together began in 2017, at the very unexpected yet very special 24 Hour Fitness in Santa Fe Springs. Those who know us well know how much we loved hitting the gym, and it turns out, it was also the place where our love story would start. Daniel, who had always been a regular at the gym, was quietly crushing on Leslie. In fact, he’d often hang around the front desk, chatting with his friends, just hoping to catch a glimpse of her walking in. His friends quickly caught on to his crush and, being the good friends they were, decided to play matchmaker. They could see the spark between them, even if Daniel was too shy to make a move. After weeks of subtle hints, Daniel’s friends finally decided to nudge Leslie in the right direction. They suggested that maybe, just maybe, she should go over and talk to their friend, Daniel—aka "Specs" (a nickname that still sticks). Leslie, picking up on their playful hints, took the leap and made the first move. As soon as they exchanged words for the first time, there was an undeniable chemistry. Both of them breaking into shy smiles, unable to hide their excitement. That moment marked the start of something incredible, and the rest, as they say, is history.
