FAQs

Please reach out to Colton or Leslie with any additional questions you have!
Question

You're eloping? What will the event(s) be like?

Answer

We are! We are eloping in Lexington, KY on October 19th, 2023. Because we wanted to keep things small and low-key, we opted to hold a couple of parties following our elopement--one with our families, in Kentucky, and another with all of our friends, in North Carolina.

Question

How will the parties be different from a traditional wedding?

Answer

You won't see any of our mushy vows, there's no dress code, and there won't be a dance floor (we aren't against dancing in the Footloose sense, just in the this-feels-awkward-what-do-I-do-with-my-hands-sense). Rest assured there WILL be music, just no dedicated cha-cha-slide space. Though you are welcome to clear the area around you to make your own.

Question

What can I expect from the parties?

Answer

Though each event is unique, you can expect libations, small plates or meals, toasts, good music, and good company. We truly just want to spend time with the people we love most in a setting where everyone feels comfortable. Come as you are, stay as long as you like.

Question

Can Colton help me fix my MacBook/iPhone/PC during the event?

Answer

Absolutely. He'll be there for at least three hours, so bring whatever tech problems you've got.

Question

I'm trying to solve a family mystery that's been passed down for generations. Is this a good time to ask Leslie about it?

Answer

There is never a bad time to talk to Leslie about your family mysteries. In fact, in lieu of gifts, bring Leslie your family mysteries.
