Leslie and Greg met in February 2024 at Elevation Church in Belmont, NC, when Leslie joined a serving team, and Greg reached out to her. Initially, neither was interested in dating—Leslie focused on her relationship with Christ, and Greg was adamant about not dating anyone from church. However, their connection began when they filmed a "Come to church today!" video together, leading to them exchanging social media handles. Over time, they continued talking, and Greg asked Leslie on a coffee date, though it wasn’t initially considered a date. During their conversation at Catawba Coffee Co., a woman, sensing the connection between them, offered to officiate their wedding, prompting them to acknowledge it was indeed a date. The evening ended with them laughing, learning more about each other, and Leslie publicly sharing that she’d changed her mind about dating. They've been together ever since.
