We're Getting Married!

Spring break, March 2016, Clearwater/St. Petersburg, FL! Erin was on her way to meet her best friend, Gabi, in Florida for a relaxing week on the beach. On the way to Florida she sat next to a guy who turned out to be Brians best friend, Adam. Adam was on his way to meet Brian and his family. Adam and Erin got to know each other a bit and decided maybe they would all meet up in Florida. Gabi probably thought Erin was crazy for saying “lets go meet up with this guy I randomly met on the plane” 😂 We all ended up meeting for drinks one night and this was when Erin and Brian first met! The next couple of days were spent enjoying the beaches, live music, and of course great food and drinks! Long story short, Brian thought Adam was interested in Erin so he claims thats why he didn’t make any moves until we got back home to St. Louis. Brian went back to school at Missouri State to finish his senior year and Erin was starting nursing school. They kept in touch and the relationship grew from there! ❤️ Thank you Gabi and Adam for helping bring Brian and Erin together!!

After dating for a little over 2 years, Brian was sure he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Erin. Brian knew Erin would want her closest friends and family to witness such a special moment, so he planned a surprise for her. With the help of Erin’s parents Mike and Debbie, her brother Evan, and Evan’s girlfriend Brittany, Brian came up with a plan. The girls would take Erin to the nail salon and the winery for a “girls day”, while the boys would go golfing. While the girls were out, Brian gathered their closest friends and family at Cedar Lake Cellars winery and awaited Erin’s arrival. Erin arrived at the winery surprised to see friends and family. Moments later, Brian walked out from behind a waterfall, and grabbed Erin’s hands. After telling her he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, he got down on one knee and proposed. Erin said YES!!! The rest of the day was spent celebrating their engagement with those closest to them.

What an emotional rollercoaster we are on. It’s taken me a good week just to wrap my head around everything. We finally hit less than 50 days, and could not wait to finally be married after 2+ years of planning. Due to current circumstances we are rescheduling our May wedding. We feel confident in our decision to postpone the wedding for the health and safety of everyone involved. We couldn’t picture getting married without all our loved ones there. It also meant a lot to keep all our same vendors and they have been amazing in helping us through this process. This was a tough and challenging decision to navigate. We really appreciate all the love and support to get us through this. We look forward to our new date of April 16, 2021 🥂 We hope all our guests can attend as planned originally but understand some may not be able to. As some of the anxiety and fear has melted away, we know when all of this is over it will make the celebration that much sweeter. 💕
