Birmingham Museum of Art
Founded in 1951, the Birmingham Museum of Art today has one of the finest collections in the Southeastern United States, with more than 24,000 paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings, and decorative arts representing a numerous diverse cultures, including Asian, European, American, African, Pre-Columbian, and Native American. It is a beautiful place to visit.
Railroad Park
Railroad Park is a 19 acre green space in downtown Birmingham that celebrates the industrial and artistic heritage of our great city. Situated along 1st Avenue South, between 14th and 18th Streets, the park is a joint effort between the City of Birmingham and the Railroad Park Foundation. Railroad Park is the ideal place to enjoy the crisp Alabama March air and have a little lunch, throw a little Frisbee, or take a little jog.
