FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Formal Attire: Suits (Coat & Tie) and midi or maxi dresses. If you need an excuse to break out a tuxedo or gown, be our guest. You'll be in good company with the groomsmen & bridesmaids!

Question

What airline should I use and what city should I fly into?

Answer

All the major airlines tend to have flights to Atlanta. For the most options - consider Delta Airlines. The Atlanta Airport is a Delta hub, so will offer the highest volume of trips and the most direct options. Columbus does have a small regional airport (airport code CSG). Delta is the only carrier that flies into this airport & every flight will have a layover in Atlanta first.

Question

If I fly into Atlanta, how do I get to Columbus?

Answer

Rent a car or take a shuttle through Groome Transportation (www.groometransportation.com). Rachel uses it all the time to commute to the airport for business trips. They offer a shuttle every hour from 6am to 11pm. They'll even take you directly to the AC Hotel, Hotel Indigo or City Mills Hotel in Downtown Columbus.

Question

I've never been to the Southeast before, where else should I roadtrip?

Answer

Welcome to the South! It's the place Rachel grew up and the place AJ was charmed enough by the hospitality to stay. While it's worth coming back for more than this trip - we'd encourage you to consider: A short roadtrip for 2-3 days to the charming city of Savannah, GA on the Atlantic Ocean or sink your toes into the white sand and crystal blue waters of Destin, Florida in the Gulf of Mexico. An extra 1-2 days in Atlanta, GA when flying in and out will fill you with history on Civil Rights and Martin Luther King Jr, The 1996 Summer Olympics, Coca-Cola, and Beluga Whales or Whale Sharks at the Georgia Aquarium. Check out the "Things To Do" page for more details on all of this and more.

Question

What's the weather going to be like?

Answer

We are anticipating cool and mild conditions. Historic high averages around mid 60°F, and lows average near low 40°F. If conditions are in our favor, we'll hold the ceremony outdoors with the sunset on the lake, and then move indoors!
